The zip wire is honestly the main draw here — kids go back and forth on it for ages while the adults claim a picnic table and actually get to sit down for once. It’s had a decent refurb recently, so the play equipment feels fresh rather than the usual tired stuff you see at smaller village fields. There’s plenty of open grass for a kickabout or just letting younger ones run off some energy. Parking’s easy, the benches are well-placed, and the whole place has a calm, quiet feel — no through traffic, no noise. A solid local spot that punches above its weight for a village playing field.
