If you’re after proper open space rather than a cramped little corner park, this is the one locals keep coming back to. The grass fields are genuinely big — enough room for a proper kickaround, and the basketball court and bike track mean older kids aren’t just standing around watching the little ones. Dogs love it here too, which tells you something about how much room there actually is to roam. They use the grounds for events through the year, bonfires, circuses, that kind of thing, so it’s worth keeping an eye on what’s on.
