Draycote Water Playground

If you’re local to Kites Hardwick, you probably already know Draycote Water is worth the trip — but the playground near the lake is genuinely good for a full afternoon out. Kids aged 2 to 11 get slides, swings, and a water feature to mess about with, all within a proper enclosed area so you’re not constantly chasing toddlers toward the water. Pack a picnic because the benches are right there, and the open grass field gives older ones room to run off while you actually sit down for five minutes. The walking path around the lake is a nice way to wind things down, and clean toilets nearby means you’re not caught short. It’s the kind of place you end up staying at far longer than planned.
