Queenswood Arboretum

Honestly, Queenswood is one of those places locals keep coming back to all year round — the tree collection alone makes it worth the trip, but bring the kids for the Gruffalo trail and they’ll be running ahead of you the whole way. There’s a climbing structure and some musical equipment to keep little ones busy, plus wide open grass and proper walking paths when you’re ready to explore. The cafe is decent, the views from up top are genuinely good on a clear day, and dogs are welcome too. Pack a picnic, grab one of the tables, and plan to stay longer than you think you need to.
