Hook Norton Children’s Park

If you’re after somewhere that feels a bit removed from the usual town park chaos, this one’s worth the trip out to Hook Norton. The wooded setting gives it a proper outdoorsy feel — shade trees keep things cool in summer, and the open grass field means kids can run themselves ragged between goes on the climbing structure and merry go round. Equipment’s in solid shape, which isn’t always a given around here. Pack a picnic because the tables actually get used, and with forest trails nearby you can easily stretch a short visit into a proper afternoon out.
