Charfield Village Hall and Playing Field

The playing field here is one of those spots that genuinely serves the whole village — younger kids head straight for the play train and climbing structure while parents grab a bench and actually relax for a bit. There’s a seesaw and swings too, so it covers most of what little ones want on a good afternoon out. When they’re done, the basketball court and soccer field mean older siblings aren’t left standing around with nothing to do. Parking is easy, there are proper restrooms on site, and the village hall next door means there’s usually something going on if you time it right. It’s nothing flashy, but it’s well looked after and genuinely useful — the kind of local green space that quietly does a lot for a community.
