Flashpoint Swansea

If you’ve not been to Flashpoint yet, you’re missing out on one of the better climbing spots in Swansea. The bouldering is genuinely well set — routes for complete beginners right through to people who clearly live on walls — and The Beast is worth the trip alone if you fancy a proper challenge. The staff actually seem to enjoy being there, which makes a difference when you’re flailing around on your first visit and need a pointer or two. Facilities are kept clean and the parking situation means you’re not circling the block before you’ve even touched a hold.
