Aberavon Adventure Park

Right on the seafront promenade in Port Talbot, this one’s a solid spot if you’ve got kids who need to burn off some energy after a beach walk. The nautical theme gives it a bit of personality — think climbing frames and a zipline that the older ones will queue up for repeatedly, while the slides and swings keep the younger crowd happy. Parents get a decent deal too: good sightlines across the whole park, plenty of benches and picnic tables, and parking that doesn’t require a 10-minute hike. The open grass field gives kids room to just run, which honestly counts for a lot. With the beach literally right there and the promenade to stroll along, it’s an easy half-day out that doesn’t need much planning.
