Belhus Wood Country Park Play Area

If you’re local to Aveley and haven’t taken the kids to Belhus Wood yet, you’re genuinely missing out. The play area covers a good range of equipment — slides, swings, a solid climbing structure, sandbox, and even some musical instruments that younger ones absolutely lose their minds over. It works well for a wide age spread, so if you’ve got a 3-year-old and a 10-year-old in tow, both stay busy without too much negotiating. Pack a picnic because the open grass field and tables make it easy to set up properly, and the walking paths through the country park mean you can stretch the visit out way beyond just the play area. Parking and toilets on site make the whole thing a lot less stressful than it could be.
