Quarry Road is one of those parks that actually delivers on variety — slides, swings, and a zipline that the older kids in the 10-14 range will actually bother to queue for. The whole play area is enclosed, which makes a real difference if you’ve got kids who like to make a break for it. There’s proper sports provision too, with a basketball court and a soccer field alongside open grass, so you’re not just stuck watching them go down a slide for an hour. Being right opposite Town Gardens means you can easily extend the day if needed — coffee’s available over there, which, honestly, is the deciding factor for most parents.
