Brockhill Country Park

The play area here is solid for kids aged 2–12 — slides, swings, and a climbing structure that’ll keep them busy while you actually get a breather. What makes Brockhill worth the trip is everything around it: woodland trails, a lake with wildlife if you’re patient enough to look, and open grass where kids can just run. Toilets, picnic tables, and parking are all sorted, so you’re not roughing it. The café is genuinely good — not an afterthought — and the prices won’t make you wince. Locals know this place, but it rarely feels overrun, which is half the appeal.
