If you’re after somewhere genuinely quiet with the kids, this little spot in Crockham Hill delivers. The play equipment is new, so the slides and swings are actually in decent nick — a refreshing change from the rusty stuff you find elsewhere. There’s a proper cricket setup here too, with a pavilion, which gives the place a real village green feel. The open grass and football area mean older siblings don’t get bored while the little ones play. Dogs seem to love it as much as the children, and being set back from the main road makes the whole thing feel properly tucked away.
