Locals know this one well — the pirate ship climbing structure is genuinely one of the better ones in the area, solid and interesting enough to keep kids busy for a proper stretch of time. The zipline is always the first thing they make a beeline for, and there’s a good mix of slides, swings, and a seesaw rounding things out for the younger ones from about age two up. It’s fully fenced, which makes a real difference when you’ve got small kids, and the separate areas mean toddlers aren’t getting knocked about by older children on the climbing frame. Picnic tables, shaded seating, and toilets on site means you can actually stay a while without it becoming a logistical nightmare, and the football pitch and open grass give older kids somewhere to burn off energy beyond the play equipment. Parking right off Anning Road makes it an easy stop — far less faff than some of the other spots around Lyme Regis.
