Belmont Park Exeter

Belmont Park is one of those spots that actually has something for everyone without feeling like it’s trying too hard. The enclosed play area keeps younger kids contained while parents watch from the benches or shaded seating nearby — and yes, the shade trees make a real difference on a warm Devon afternoon. Older kids tend to gravitate toward the basketball court, while the walking path around the open grass field gets used by everyone from dog walkers to joggers. There’s graffiti around parts of the park which gives it that lived-in, urban feel — it’s not manicured, it’s real. Pack a picnic, the tables are there and it’s genuinely one of the better free afternoons out in Exeter.
