Right on the edge of the Exe Estuary, this place has a lot going for it beyond just the playground. Kids get slides, swings, a seesaw, and a climbing structure, while older ones tend to gravitate toward the basketball court or the bike track. Pack a picnic — the tables and shade trees near the pond make it genuinely pleasant to sit and stay a while rather than just dropping the kids off and counting down. The walking path loops nicely if you fancy stretching your legs, and the open grass field means there’s room to actually run about. Locals use it all year round, and honestly, the estuary views alone make it worth the trip.
