Gurnard Village Green Playground

If you haven’t made the trip out to Gurnard yet, the playground on the village green is honestly worth it just for the views over the bay — catch it at sunset and you’ll understand why locals are pretty possessive about this spot. The enclosed play area gives parents a bit of breathing room, with good sightlines throughout and solid shade from the trees when summer actually shows up. Kids get slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandbox, which tends to keep them busy long enough for the adults to actually sit down at the picnic tables and enjoy the scenery. Restrooms and parking are both close by, and the open grass field means older ones aren’t stuck fighting over the equipment the whole time. It’s kept clean and well-used, which says a lot about how much the community actually cares for it.
