Staverton Play Park

If you’re after somewhere that doesn’t feel like every other park, Staverton is worth the trip out from Totnes. It sits right on the edge of some proper woodland with a pond nearby, so even before you’ve found a spot on the open grass you’re already in decent scenery. Dogs love it here — there are trails leading off into the trees that’ll keep them busy for a good while. Shade trees mean it stays comfortable on warmer days, and there’s parking which makes life easier if you’re coming with kids and all the stuff that involves. The South Devon Railway runs close by too, which is a nice bonus if you want to stretch the day out a bit.
