Moorfields Sandpits

Locals know this one well — the sandpit alone is worth the trip, with enough space for serious digging sessions while younger ones splash around in the natural stream running through the park. Older kids tend to gravitate toward the climbing structure, merry-go-round, and slides, so there’s rarely a fight over who goes where. Shade trees and picnic tables mean you can actually settle in for a few hours rather than hovering by the gate, and the soccer field and open grass give older kids somewhere to burn off whatever energy’s left. It gets busy on warm days, no question, but the parking helps and it never feels too chaotic. Genuinely one of Bath’s better family parks — the stream alone sets it apart from your standard swings-and-slide setup.
