Right in the heart of Porthmadog, this is the kind of spot you end up at before or after a ride on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways — it just makes sense to stop here. Families with younger kids will find it easy to get around, with accessibility clearly thought about rather than bolted on as an afterthought. There are plenty of places to grab a bite nearby, so you’re not stuck if the kids start flagging. It’s nothing flashy, but for a town centre play stop it does the job well.
