Westgarth Children’s Play Area

Kirkby Stephen’s not exactly overflowing with options for kids, so Westgarth gets a lot of love from local families — and rightly so. The setup is solid: swings, slides, and a climbing structure that keeps the 3-to-12 crowd genuinely busy rather than bored after five minutes. It’s accessible too, which matters more than most play area listings bother to mention. You’ll usually find a mix of kids here, which gives it that proper community feel rather than somewhere that’s just ticking boxes.
