Right at the top of mainland Britain, this little play area sits in one of the most recognisable spots in the whole of Scotland. It’s not the biggest setup you’ll ever see, but when you’re already making the trip to John o’ Groats, it’s a handy stop for families who need a breather before or after the obligatory signpost photo. The coastal setting does most of the heavy lifting honestly — there’s something pretty special about letting the kids run around with the Pentland Firth in the background. Worth knowing it’s wheelchair accessible too, which isn’t always a given at spots this far north.
