Charlestown Playpark

Right in the middle of Symbister, this wee playpark is one of those spots you end up at after a visit to the Whalsay Heritage and Community Centre just up the road. It’s a handy stop if you’ve got restless kids who need to burn off some energy while you’re out on Whalsay. Worth knowing it’s not wheelchair accessible, so keep that in mind before making the trip. Quiet, local, and pretty much what you’d expect from a community park on a Shetland island — nothing fancy, but it does the job.
