Howick Domain Playground

The Domain has had a solid glow-up lately — the climbing structure is genuinely good, the kind that keeps kids occupied long enough for you to actually sit down. There’s decent shade from the trees and enough seating that you’re not standing around the whole time, which makes a difference on a warm Auckland day. It works well for a pretty wide age spread, from wobbly toddlers through to primary schoolers who want something with a bit more challenge. Restrooms are on site, parking is easy, and if your kids need to burn off extra energy there’s a soccer field and open grass right there. Honestly one of the better set-ups on the eastern suburbs side of town.
