Mission Heights Playground

The flying fox here is genuinely one of the better ones in East Auckland — long enough to actually build up speed, and there’s usually a queue of kids waiting their turn. A big slide rounds things out nicely, and the swings keep the littler ones busy while older kids hog the zipline. Being right on the edge of the bush gives the whole place a bit of a different feel compared to your standard suburban playground. Locals know about it, and on a sunny weekend afternoon it shows.
