Hayman Park Playground

One of the better-equipped parks on this side of Auckland — the zipline alone is worth the trip if you’ve got kids who need to burn off some energy. There’s a solid climbing structure, slides, and swings, plus a bike track and basketball court for the older ones who’ve outgrown the play equipment. Shade trees and covered seating mean you can actually stay for a few hours without melting in summer, and the restrooms are kept in decent shape. The path around the nearby pond is a nice touch for a post-lunch walk. Accessible, well-maintained, and genuinely useful for families rather than just ticking boxes on paper.
