Huia Lyons Skate Park & Reserve

Rotorua locals know this one well — it’s the kind of spot you end up at on a Saturday afternoon without really planning it. The skate park gets a solid workout from kids of all levels, and there’s genuinely good variety here with netball and basketball courts plus a rugby field if you need to burn off some serious energy. Plenty of open grass too, which sounds simple but makes a real difference when younger kids just need space to run. It’s also decent for a casual walk around the reserve if you’re not there to play.
