Ōakura’s got a pretty decent little setup here — part skate park, part playground, so there’s something depending on what your kids are into that day. The skate area is small but it does the job, and honestly for a beach village this size, having both in one spot is handy. Worth a stop if you’re already out this way exploring the coast.
