Monasterevin Playground

Right in the heart of Monasterevin, this spot sits alongside the Grand Canal, which makes it feel a bit more interesting than your average town playground — the kids barely notice the water but you’ll appreciate the view. It’s a solid setup with slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a decent sandbox that always seems to keep the younger ones busy longer than expected. The whole place is well looked after, genuinely clean, and feels safe enough that you’re not on high alert the whole time. Plenty of space to spread out, picnic tables if you’ve packed lunch, and parking close by — honestly one of the easier playground trips you’ll do in Kildare.
