Fowles Street is one of those playgrounds that actually respects kids enough to give them a bit of a challenge. The climbing structure has some real grunt to it — rubber balls, a rope wall, nothing too sanitised — and the double racer slide is genuinely fun rather than just ticking a box. There’s a fossil shark worked into the design which sounds gimmicky but honestly looks pretty cool and the kids love it. The shade trees do a decent job keeping things bearable in summer, and there’s a bench if you need to sit and watch rather than hover. Good spot for toddlers through to primary age kids who want something with a bit more going on than your standard suburban setup.
