Hughes doesn’t have a massive park scene, but M Webster Playground punches above its weight for such a quiet suburban pocket. The flying fox is the obvious drawcard — kids will queue for it, fair warning — and the swing set is one of those rare ones that actually works for both toddlers and older kids at the same time. The climbing structure has enough going on (chain ladder, stairs, steering wheel) to keep bigger kids busy while the little ones figure out the slide. Shade trees and picnic tables mean you can actually sit down and relax rather than hovering in the sun the whole time. It’s not flashy, but it covers all the bases and the flying fox alone makes it worth the detour.
