Bidjiwang Nature Playground

If you’re after a playground that actually feels like it belongs in the bush, this one delivers. The climbing structure, tunnels, and water feature give kids plenty to work with, and the open-ended design means they’ll find their own adventure rather than just cycling through fixed equipment. There’s Indigenous art woven through the space too, which gives it a sense of place you don’t get at your average suburban park. Shade trees and seating make it genuinely comfortable for adults to stick around, and with forest trails and a lake nearby, it’s easy to turn this into a proper half-day out. Locals in Whitlam are pretty lucky to have this one on their doorstep.
