Cuthbert Whitley Park – Taylor Adventure Playground

Taylor’s still a pretty new suburb, so it’s good to see they’ve actually put some thought into this one rather than just dropping in a generic swing set. The adventure playground has a real theme to it, and kids tend to disappear into it for a solid chunk of time — the kind of place where you’re not constantly being called over to help someone off a slide. There’s a soccer field and open grass nearby if the older ones need more room to burn energy, and the walking path is handy for keeping an eye on things without hovering. Shade trees and parking mean you can actually stay for a while without suffering, which honestly isn’t a given in Canberra summers.
