DURRAS Lake Entrance

South Durras is one of those places locals are quietly glad visitors overlook. The lake entrance itself is the drawcard here — kids will spend hours poking around the water’s edge, and North Durras Beach is basically a two-minute walk away. Don’t come expecting a sprawling play setup with equipment and shade sails; this is very much a nature-first kind of spot. Bring a bucket, some sunscreen, and a willingness to let the kids entertain themselves with the water, the birds, and whatever the tide drags in.
