Purrah Bay Playground

Down by Kanahooka, this little spot gets overlooked by people who don’t know the area — which honestly keeps it nicer for the locals. The enclosed play area means you’re not constantly chasing kids toward the road, and the shade trees actually do their job on a hot day. Parents tend to appreciate how easy it is to keep an eye on things without hovering. It’s consistently well-kept, which isn’t something you can say about every council playground around here. Parking’s easy too, so it’s worth adding to your rotation if you’re anywhere near the Illawarra.
