Mt Kembla Playground

Up in Mount Kembla, this little community park is the kind of place the locals know about and quietly want to keep that way. The views from up here are genuinely hard to beat — you’re in the Illawarra escarpment country, so the scenery does a lot of the heavy lifting. It’s low-key by design, more of a relaxed outdoor spot than a feature-packed destination. Worth the drive up if you’re after some fresh air and a quieter pace than you’ll find closer to the coast.
