The awning cover over the equipment is honestly one of the best things about this spot — summer in Brighton-Le-Sands gets brutal, and being able to let the little ones loose on the slides and climbing structure without worrying about sunburn is a big deal. There’s also a merry go round, which the under-5 crowd absolutely loses their minds over. Cook Park itself is well-kept, so the open grass field actually gets used rather than avoided, and the walking path is good for prams or just burning off extra energy after the play equipment. Benches are right there if you need to sit and watch. Suits toddlers upward, and locals here know to time it before the weekend crowds roll in.
