The school playground at Matraville Public does the job well for the 5–12 crowd — solid climbing structure, slides, and swings that actually get used hard. Parents can keep an easy eye on the kids from the picnic tables, which is genuinely useful when you’re trying to eat lunch and supervise at the same time. Street parking is straightforward enough, and the open grass field means there’s room to kick a ball around once the equipment gets crowded. It’s a proper schoolyard setup rather than a destination playground, but the Hillsdale locals know it and use it that way.
