Five Dock Park got some solid shade upgrades not too long ago, which honestly makes a huge difference in summer when the equipment used to get scorching hot — less of an issue now. There’s a good mix of slides, swings, and musical bits that keep the little ones busy from around 15 months up, and the space is generous enough that kids aren’t constantly on top of each other. Families tend to set up at the picnic tables near the BBQ area and stay for hours, especially on weekends. The basketball court and soccer field mean older kids have somewhere to burn energy too, so it works well for mixed-age groups. It’s well looked after — not one of those parks where you’re dodging broken equipment or overgrown grass.
