Lardelli Park

The duck pond is genuinely the star here — kids lose their minds for it, and there always seems to be something waddling around worth watching. The walking path that loops around the water is flat and wide enough that toddlers on balance bikes or scooters can actually handle it without mum having a heart attack. There’s a decent little play setup with slides, swings, a climbing structure, a sandbox, and a water feature to keep the under-fives busy when the ducks get boring (if that ever happens). Being in Ryde means it’s surrounded by suburban streets, but the pond gives it a genuinely calm, almost scenic feel that you don’t always get from urban parks. Toilets on site, which — if you’ve got a two-year-old — you already know is non-negotiable.
