Blackman Park Playground

Down near the Lane Cove River, this park pulls together pretty much everything you’d want for a full day out. The kids have a solid setup — zipline, slides, swings, merry-go-round — while the adults can claim a shaded table, fire up the BBQ, and actually relax for once. The big open grass field and soccer area give older kids room to burn energy, and the bike track gets plenty of use on weekends. Trails thread into the bush nearby, the dog park draws a crowd of its own, and parking is genuinely easy to find, which isn’t something you can say about every park in the area.
