Karikeree Creek Park

If you’re after somewhere to just let the kids run loose in actual nature rather than climb on plastic equipment, this little creek park in Thrumster does the job nicely. It’s the kind of place locals know about but you won’t find overrun with crowds. The creek setting does most of the heavy lifting — there’s something genuinely calming about it, and kids seem to find plenty to explore without needing a formal playground setup. Worth a stop if you’re already out near Tallowood Boarding Lodge.
