Macleay River Playground!

If you’re driving through Frederickton and need to stop, this little spot by the Macleay River is genuinely one of the better pull-offs on the route. The restrooms are clean and actually have a baby change table, which parents travelling with little ones will appreciate more than I can say. Toddlers do well here — it’s not an overwhelming setup, just the right scale for smaller kids to run around without you losing your mind. Grab one of the sheltered picnic tables and eat lunch with the river right there in front of you. Honestly, as rest stops go, this one’s hard to beat.
