Hinze Dam Playground

If you haven’t made the drive out to Advancetown for a family day, you’re genuinely missing out. The playground itself covers the basics well — slides, swings, a water feature the kids will inevitably get soaked in — but it’s really the setting that makes it worth the trip, with the dam right there and proper shade trees keeping things bearable even in summer. Pack a cooler and claim one of the BBQ spots early on weekends because locals know about this place. There’s a bike track and open grass for burning off energy, and honestly the views across the water while you’re waiting for your snags to cook are pretty hard to beat.
