Locals in Wilsonton know this one’s a solid pick when the Queensland heat gets serious — the shade trees actually do their job here, which isn’t something you can say about every park in the area. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down and not immediately regret it, with decent seating that stays out of the sun. Dog owners seem to have claimed it as a regular stop, and whoever manages it has bothered to put out poo bags, so the ground stays clean. Nothing flashy, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
