Cubberla Creek Reserve East Playground

If you’ve got little ones learning to ride bikes or scooters, this is genuinely one of the better spots in Chapel Hill to practice — the flat path is forgiving and there’s enough space that you’re not constantly watching for hazards. The big shade trees make a real difference on a hot Queensland afternoon, and the BBQ and picnic tables mean you can actually settle in for a few hours rather than rushing off. It skews younger with the playground, so toddlers and preschoolers tend to get the most out of it. The creek nearby is a nice bonus, and the open grass field gives kids room to just run around while adults decompress.
