If you’re after somewhere to let the kids run loose while you actually decompress, this is a solid pick. The open grass field gives plenty of room to kick a ball around or just sprawl out, and being right on the edge of the forest means there’s always something to explore — trees to peer into, trails to wander, the whole lot. It sits close to the dog park and the Wallum Sedge Frog habitat, so it’s worth making an afternoon of it and doing a loop of the area. Honestly, it’s more about the natural setting than any fancy equipment, which suits some families perfectly.
