Yorkeys Knob Adventure Playground

If you’re local to Yorkeys Knob, you already know this spot is a bit of a gem. The flying fox is the obvious drawcard — kids queue up for it on weekends — but there’s also swings and a decent open grass area for a run around. The shade trees actually do their job here, which matters a lot up in Far North Queensland, and there’s shaded seating so you’re not standing around sweating while you wait. Pack a feed because the BBQ and picnic setup is solid, and the beach is basically a short walk away if you want to make a full afternoon of it.
