If you’re doing a beach day down at Kingston Park, this reserve makes it easy to stretch it into a proper afternoon out. The BBQ area and shaded seating mean you can actually settle in rather than just passing through, and the big open grass field gives kids room to run while adults recover from the walk down. Shade trees do solid work here on a hot day, which anyone who’s done a South Australian summer will appreciate. The walking path along the reserve is a nice way to wind down with views back toward the water once everyone’s eaten.
