If you’re after a solid local spot that doesn’t get overcrowded, Richmond Oval is worth knowing about. The swings are genuinely good — the kind kids actually want to stay on — and the wide slide gets plenty of use too. Big established trees do a proper job of keeping things shaded, which makes a real difference on a warm Adelaide day. Chuck in a walking path around the oval and some decent bench seating, and it’s the kind of place where you can easily spend an hour without feeling like you’re just killing time.
