If you’re after a solid half-day spot that actually delivers for the whole family, this reserve ticks most boxes. The playground has a zipline and merry-go-round alongside the usual slides and climbing gear, so kids aren’t bored after five minutes. Big gum trees do a decent job of keeping things cool, and the shaded seating near the BBQ area means you can actually eat lunch without sweating through it. Dry Creek is right there if the older kids want to wander the trails, and the open grass is generous enough for a proper kick-around. Parking’s easy, toilets are on-site — honestly one of the better-equipped local reserves in the northern suburbs.
